A toutes les étapes de la fortification : les plantes de remparts ne sont plus regardées comme des éléments envahissants et perturbants du bâti, mais comme une composante à part entière du site : fougère spécifique aux remparts (doradille noire), chauves-souris, insectes, oiseaux…

Plant and animal life

Plant and animal life is taken into account at every stage of the fortification. Rather than viewing the plants on the ramparts as an invasive presence with a negative impact on the building, they are now seen as an integral element of the site: fern specific to the ramparts (black spleenwort), bats, insects, birds, etc.
