DEPARTEMENT DU PAS-DE-CALAIS
|
Two landscapers, Christophe Laborde and Emmanuel de Quillac were commissioned to develop the Centre Culturel de l’Entente Cordiale (Pas-de-Calais). They opted for a landscaped garden. This work will turn the clock back, renewing Château d’Hardelot with its erstwhile Romantic setting as it was originally planned by the architects responsible for restoring it in the 19th century. The development will pave the way to a return to the original layout of the estate with its two moats, whole outer wall and nine towers. It is due to open in summer 2014. The Département du Pas-de-Calais organizes with the city of Lille and the Département du Nord the project’s final symposium in April 2014.

VILLE DE SAINT-OMER
|
In the XVIIth century a military jail was built on the site of the ancient castle mound of the Comtes de Flandre surrounded by a garden. The town of Saint Omer bought this building in order to give it back to the inhabitants by renewing the access and the garden. The building will host artists and researchers.
The first project of the architect was validated and the tenders will be launched in May for a beginning of the works in September 2013.
