PARTNERS AND LEAD PARTNER

The project brings together twenty-two French, Belgian, Dutch and English partners, representing a range of different structures.

Lead Partner

As was the case for Septentrion (2003-2007), the previous European project devoted to fortified heritage in North-West Europe, the Département du Nord is Lead Partner for the “Walls and Gardens” project. In this capacity, it ensures the overall coordination of the project, offering stakeholders support and technical assistance within the framework of its cultural and environmental protection policies.It is also in charge of the general communication of the project.

The partners

All project partners will play an operational role and receive ERDF funding, either for joint actions or within the context of local initiatives. A number of structures will take responsibility for collaborative actions. Various partners will also organize training sessions or host meetings and events. The Département du Nord, the Province of West-Flanders, Essex and the Medway and the city of Flushing will ensure territorial coordination between the partners thanks to the national coordinator.
